Kid Friendly Chili
Now that the weather is turning cooler, chili is perfect for family get-togethers or for watching the game.
And we can't forget the kids. And the rest of us who don't always go for the hot stuff.
The following is a good meal for Sherry and myself. Two big bowls and at least two bowls for left overs later in the week.
Two lbs. Hamburger
Two 11 oz cans Campbells Pork and Beans
One 14.5 oz can Diced Tomatoes
Two packets of McCormick Mild Chili Seasoning Mix.
Brown the Hamburger, drain off the grease.
Put it all in a Crockpot.
Add enough water to make it the consistency you want. I prefer more a stew than a soup.
Stir well and let cook for the rest of the afternoon.
A layer of shredded Cheddar cheese and even a small layer of Fritos in the bowl.
Easy to make, Easy on the stomach, Easy for the Kids, Comfort Food.
(Got some in the Crockpot right now.)
