I disabled the chatbox for now as it seems to be logging people in as soon as they visit. Not sure why it is doing that!

Apparently, the Forumotion people have done an upgrade and its causing a problem.

I re-enabled the chatbox, hoping the previous issues got fixed. So far it looks like it is working properly. Hasn't logged me in automatically.
