Police consider civil action on Matt Butcher verdict
I don't know if anyone outside of Australia knows about this case?

I think it is absolutely disgraceful. There are many angry letters in today's newspaper about this.
Here's the actual video of the incident last year which left policeman Matt Butcher permanently paralysed down one side of his body.

Re: Police consider civil action on Matt Butcher verdict
Barry McLeod faced the most serious count, of doing an act with intent to cause harm, admitting to a "flying head butt’’ in which he struck Constable Butcher, 33, to the head from behind after the policeman shot his father with a Taser gun.
Robert McLeod later collapsed from a heart attack – his third in three years.
Barry McLeod claimed he was just trying to protect his father.
One of the letters in today's paper asks the question: If Robert McLeod had a weak heart, what the heck was he doing getting himself involved in a fight?
