Problem is, he'll be eligible for parole in around 15!

Damned shame he didn't resist arrest. A bullet would have been best!

I don't want to see it...that is just wrong as wrong can be to beat up a woman.....

I lived that life for far too many days and as she said they make you feel like it is you.
I too escaped and found me and found the strength to take care of me and mine.
We all need to support other woman and listen for signs of this and help them to get out of this situation. No man has the right to try and control, beat or manipulate a woman for any reason.

As disturbing as the video itself is, one of the most disturbing thing about the video is the statement that it's estimated (I forget by what law enforcement agency) that ONE IN FOUR women are victims of domestic violence!

That is friggin' unbelievable!

That guy should be beat up..Feel sorry for any woman in that situation.
My Step-Mother went through this with my Dad & she finally left after he
tried to burn her up in bed..Do not know why she stayed..Very religious but that was no excuse. We had to witness this for years & it really affects
a child, even as an adult to have been through this. She finall y went back to her brother in Spokane Wash. This is where she came from as first a
housekeeper, then married him..She even came back to BC for his funeral.
Maybe to see that he was really gone? He had committed suicide with my
two sisters sleeping in the next room & they found him in the morning.
A real horror for them as he used his shot gun..A crazy alcoholic They were 13 at the time {twins}

I'm so sorry you had to go through that Sharon.....that had to be very hard.....
You have a daughter that has alot of respect for her Mother...You did a good job...

I think I had seen that on TV. I've heard from someone that they would have preferred the physical abuse to the constant mental, although neither is acceptable.
She said I wish he would have just hit me rather than constantly put me down all day, she finally left, but it starts out and soon they become so used to the BS, they don't realize what is happening to them. Those guys are such nuts, they chase them down if they leave.
There was a house near me that they got to stay in with the kids for awhile until they got settled. They have to keep moving the house as the men eventually find out and still chase them down even tho they are supposed to be 'protected'.
